Elektross is used because he has no weakness. He really isn't the best Pokemon to use, sadly.

No, not even close. I hate Elektross, to be honest. I also want to point out that Zoroark was only over-hyped because it was the first proof of a new region. Besides, even if newbies decide to use it, that's not a problem, 'cause it's actually opposite of normal newbie behavior.
