Seems like Video Games are getting more recognition. The Smithsonian American Art Institution is opening a new exhibit March 16th, 2012.

Quote from official website:
The Art of Video Games exhibition, opening on March 16, 2012, will explore the 40-year evolution of video games as an artistic medium, with a focus on striking visual effects, the creative use of new technologies, and the most influential artists and designers. We want you to help us select the eighty video games that will be represented in the exhibition. Remember, this is an art exhibition, so be sure to vote for games that you think are visually spectacular or boast innovative design!

And you decide which games to go into the museum by voting. You vote which games of which systems get to go up. Choose the ones you think deserve it. Voting is easy: you need to sign up, which only takes your email address, and you are done. They give you your password (which is a 3-number code), and then you vote.

You can vote here!

I'm kinda surprised none of the Genesis Sonic games are on there.... considering it was the only game that really pushed the processor of that system....

There was some really REALLY stupid things there, so I got a good laugh.

Sonic CD was included, but lost to Earthworm Jim (that's fine by me though, I hated that game).

I didn't even consider CD since it's not a Genesis game in all truth, it's a Sega CD Game lol. I was talking original Sonic Trilogy (Sonic 1, 2, or 3)
