first off u need the item lucky egg. Give it to the pokemon u want to train. Now, go to a grass patch with like level 30s, and wait for a swirling patch. If its a pink pokemon called tabunne, if its level 30 and u have the lucky egg it will yield about 2500 exp just for ONE ko!
This is how i grinder to level 40

Um, sorry, but whoever played at least one Pokemon game before, knows how to do this.
Lucky egg is an obvious choice and so are the high leveled Pokemon. You don't have to spend your time waiting for a wiggly grass patch. Just battle anything.

Skoch, in all honesty, this didn't need to be locked. Syduck has a point.

"but whoever played at least one Pokemon game before, knows how to do this."

This grass shaking revealing a pokemon that gives you 10x the experience of the other levels around it didn't happen in the other games

"Lucky egg is an obvious choice and so are the high leveled Pokemon"

There are no high leveled pokemon until after the 7th gym.

"You don't have to spend your time waiting for a wiggly grass patch. Just battle anything."

If you don't have a lucky egg (you don't get it til AFTER the 5th gym) then battling every pokemon takes forever. Syduck was here to inform those who didn't know the grass patch trick (it applies for the impatient, like me).

You don't need any "level up tactics" to beat the fifth gym. They are all pretty easy, except the last one, since it stands out. By high leveled Pokemon I mean higher than the one you are training.

Audino does give a decent amount of EXP, but wiggly grass is not that common for you to chase it. The point is to spend a little time on a single grass patch, battle Pokemon there and if you happen to see Audino while doing it, it is just a bonus.

The real leveling up starts in the Victory Road. You only need high leveled Pokemon to get past the E4. Other than that, the game is pretty straightforward.

Just don't avoid trainer battles and visit EVERY route you can reach on the side.

Obviously you don't need level up tactics, but for those people who got shit pokemon with shit natures, this guide could possibly help them. My Emboar would have gotten OHKO by a good 2 level widespread. Wiggly grass is pretty common, you run around a spot with lots of grass patches, hear the grass noise, run to it 1000 experience (w/out lucky egg) while other pokemon give you a measly 100. You can try and battle 10 pokemon to get that much, but the Audino trick is way easier anyways.

Overall, there was no need to lock this topic. I didn't know about this until my bro mentioned it to me after the 4th gym, so I was WTF'ing the entire time at the massive level ups I would get.

Also, in other games you can be a cheater and use a Gameshark/Action Replay to get Rare Candies. I don't know about doing that in B&W, but I like your method better.

Lol Rare Candies are not an option.

Anyways, I beat the game just by using my puppy. The next Pokemon I started training was after the third gym and the next one I caught just before I reached the fifth gym. So by that "epic hard" Gym 5 I had 2 trained Pokemon and a freshly caught one. But the point is, my puppy was 7-10 levels above Gym Leader's top Pokemon.
I didn't start training my starter (Oshawott) until I reached the Desert Resort. The Pokemon there were 2-2.5x higher than my Oshawott and I trained it easily from level 8 to level 24. The point is to have a main Poke, and when you DO reach a series of high leveled Pokemon, just battle them until you get to a certain level.

2 Questions:

Where the heck do you get a lucky egg?

What route is the pokemon Tabunne on?

1. You get it during the main storyline. I don't remember where exactly. I remember the blond whore gives it to you.
2. Almost every route.

I just give a pokemon the lucky egg and do all the daily trainer battles.
Slower, but it works and has my team up to about the 80s

That gives u more of a variation then just gaining hp from audino.

What I do to level up is use the route above White Forest/Black City. I go back and forth between the grass patches till one shakes. Then go to it while equiped with the Lucky Egg. It's either an Audino, Wigglytuff, or Emolga. Usually, I catch Emolga and faint Audino. That way, I kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Razz

The leveling system in Black and White is different than in other games, these tips are definitely useful.

The formula is still the same though. Just different Pokemon, which means different EXP.

Really? I thought there was something about the EXP slider.... oh well, the game is still slightly harder than the others.
