| Almost every kid is amazed by video games. Tell me your top 3 games from your childhood. You can include honorable mentions, if you have more than 3, but narrow it down a little ________________________________________________ 1. Super Mario Bros. (NES) - Wow, this game was such a hit. Since I was one of the two people in our group of friends from kindergarten who had this game, we would all gather at my home mostly to play this game. It was amazing. Since we were mostly 5 years old, we didn't know many shortcuts, so whenever we played through a level, we literally celebrated. Imagine what we did when one of us beat the game. Nah, it wasn't me. When I was 5, the furthest I reached in this game is world 8-3. ________________________________________________ 2. Ice Climbers (NES) - Not as popular as Mario, but definitely more popular than Space Invaders, Duck Hunt and such. We had loads of fun playing Ice Climbers when we were kids. I wasn't really good at this game, but it was amazing. ________________________________________________ 3. Crash Team Racing (PSX) - My top game for the original Sony Playstation. I was the only one in my class who had this game, once again, so everybody played it at my place. We were 9 or 10 at the time. It was amazing, much better than Mario Kart at the time. Mario Kart didn't get interesting until Double Dash or something... Anyways, we had contests, and I pwnt, 'cause I almost played this game 24/7... ____________________________________

| This list are the games from the very early days of my childhood and not only those that have amazed me but have DEEPLY influenced me. 3. Super Mario Bros (NES): Of course. Almost everyone is going to have it but I need it here as well. This game introduced me into Mario and I have good memories remembering this game. I especially remember when me and my dad would play this game occasionally and when I actually beat the game for the first time...BEFORE my dad. I felt so proud. 2. Skyshark (NES): My gosh I LOVED this game! So awesome and entertaining for me back then when I was a kid. Good times. Probably the first that brought me into the scrolling shooter genre. *cough* Touhou *cough* 1. Magic Carpet (PC-DOS): YES! You may be asking yourself "WTFreak is Magic Carpet?" Well let me tell you that this was an amazing game I used to watch my cousin play all the time. Man. Awesome memories. And by luck I was able to remember the title at all and locate videos of it on Youtube. I was so happy when I found it! Now if there were only some way to download it. Haha. Well, there's my top 3 childhood games. Surely there are many others that should be here not because of just the memories but of play capabilities as well, and Ruby should be here as well considering it was my first OWNED game EVER. Got on my last day of 4th grade (my birthday) along with the Gameboy SP. Until next time |

| My early days were spent with the rival SEGA so... 1. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (SEGA Genesis/Megadrive) - The classic example of "Blast Processing" where you'd go so fast your blue hedgehog would run off the screen lol. This was probably the best 2D platformer of the 90's (the 3 original SMB are all from the 80's so they don't count). 2. NHL 95 (PC) - The 2nd hockey game from iconic sports maker EA, This was the first (and until 2009 the last) game to have actual fans sprites in the stands watching the games. I've been playing sports games forever, along with JRPG's, and this was probably the best sports game ever made up until last year. If you can find a copy of this game, play it for the nostalgia of computers of days gone by. 3. FF4 (SNES) - Ok, this was the first of the Final Fantasy games to actually be released in English and is the game that bread my love of JRPG's. This may not be the classic that some of the later installments (aka FF6 and FF7) are, but it's still a very fun game, and as an introduction to this style of RPG, it's one of the best. There, top 3, and not one mention of Super Mario . I figured I'd be a little different, SMB1 would probably be #4 on this list |

| 1. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time First game I've ever played, and is probably the only game to get 200+ hours out of me.
2. The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker Same as Ocarina of Time, many of hours taken by this beautiful game.
3. Super Smash Bros. Melee Such a huge improvement over the original. Words cannot describe how amazing this game is. |

| No order.
Mickey Mouse Speedway (N64): I played this so much when I was a kid. This was my first kart racer, and it was just awesome. Although it would probably suck if I played it now.
Some baseball game on the N64: I do not remember the name, but it was so awesome as a kid. Why? When you hit the batters with a baseball, they catch on fire. 'nuff said here.
Super Mario 64: All the games here are N64, but it was my first console. Well, I never owned this game. I played it at someone else's house, and it captivated me. It was one of the best games I had seen. |

What are you, twelve? |
How the hell does that make me twelve? Because I enjoyed those three games the most as a child? |
