i think that Pac-man (model based from the pac-man world series), MegaMan, BomberMan, Shadow, Knuckles, and Tails are good ideas. Pac-mans final smash could be "Power Pellet" which could make him do massive damage to foes he comes in contact with, Shadows final smash could be chaos control, he could freeze time and zoom around and hit foes (like chaos punishment in sonic and the black knight), Tails' final smash could be something to do with his plane mech: the tornado II. knuckles final smash could be something to do with the master emerald. (idk for megaman and bomberman's final smashes)

Pac-man would be a pretty cool character. Shadow is as expected. Anyways, welcome to the forum! have a fun time!

Pac-Man's FS should be him transforming into a Giant 8-bit Pac-Man. Move left, up, down, and right for massive damage.

No, Yoshi already does that. Pacman should also do other things...

Pacman can toss pellets at people or turn them into fruits.

IIRC, he can also flip.

In Pacman 3D for the PS3 he has a buttsmash like Yoshi, but you can't do it infinetly and you have a higher jump from when you buttsmash.

He does, and he can also charge up and shoot forward.
