It's not regular, but I thought of a few today, rather obvious, but riddles nonetheless:

1. I am facing a level 8 Charizard without hacking, how is that possible?

2. I am facing a boss with Megaman. As I get the boss to it's last Hit Points, I switch into Zero to finish him off. How is this possible?

3. I am facing a boss with Ryu. I kick him in the head, and he reacts by slamming his hammer into my head, for he is none other than Shao Khang. How is this possible?

1. Easy. Your opponent renamed his/her Pokemon to Charizard.

Nuh-uh. Nice thinking though.

Why does very riddle contain a boss?

2. You are playing as a Megaman that can become Zero in MUGEN

You are facing it in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Lvl 8 CPU Pokemon Trainer) or some of the side Pokemon games.

Number 3 must be MUGEN, as it's the only game possible to accomplish this.
