Mexico totally failed. A lot of injured players, though.

Here's an interview with Wayne Gretzky from TSN, July 11, 2011.
"Yeah, I have been out of the hockey business since 1999, but now I am coming out of retirement to show Crosby up. That whiny little bitch needs to shut his mouth and stuff it, I will show him how it's done."

Russian tennis player Alisa Kleybanova in cancer battle
On her 22nd birthday Kleybanova, who has been absent from the women’s tour since withdrawing from the French Open in May, revealed that she was undergoing treatment in Italy for Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
"It's my birthday today and I want to thank all of you for the wonderful messages," she said in a statement released on the WTA's website. "I haven't written anything for a long time about why I haven't been on tour, so that's why I'm writing this today.
"It's not an easy time for me right now. I've been a bit unlucky with my health. I have Hodgkin's lymphoma, a form of cancer.
"I've been having treatment in Italy and it has been going well, but it takes lots of patience and I've had to be really strong to go through this."
The Moscow native said she hoped to return to tennis after her treatment.
"The good news is after I do treatment for a few more months, if I feel well, there's a chance I'll be able to play tennis again," she added.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Her game is very promising and it's really sad to see athletes (or anyone) having problems with illness, especially with cancer. I hope she can survive this and recover soon.

Even though I live in the US, I don't like any of theyre players so I decided to cheer for Mexico, and + I wanted Japan to win Women's World Cup (which they did) because they deserved it after all the grief they've been through.KHPlayer wrote:linkodude43 wrote:wait, copa america, mexico? i thoguht mexico played in the gold cup? btw i was actually happy that Mexico won that over the US

^if you knock out germans, you always deserve to win
COPA AMERICA QUARTERFINALS(STUNNING RESULTS)
Columbia 0-2 Peru (in extra time, columbia also missed a penalty in regular time, if they got that in,they wouldve won)
Argentina 1-1 Uruguay (probably the best game, great football from both teams right to the very end, game went to a penalty shootout and uruguay beat argentina 5-4, tevez's penalty was saved)
Brazil 0-0 Paraguay (very scrappy and boring game from brazil, and very defensive from paraguay, went into penalty shootout, and brazil missed ALL OF THEM, paraguay moved on)
Chile 1-2 Venezuela (very controversial, chile had a regular goal called offside, venezuela made at least 2 fouls in the box that shouldve given chile penalty kicks, and they got a red card for an unintentional handball, the ref had it out for them but congrats to venezuela regardless)
SEMI FINALS
Peru vs Uruguay
Paraguay vs Venezuela

I was so surprised to see 4/4 upsets. Very nice!
Congrats to Japan for winning the World Cup. They deserved it. USA failed in the penalties.
And Linko, it's THEIR, for Mama's sake...

I know they are called continental cups but i caall them Confederations Cups because, UEFA is a cnfd (Confederation) CONCACAF is a cnfd, yeah and all those other ones, and then they have cups jst for teams within theyre reigon, which also means within there confederation. And i know about the COnfed CUp :/ I want Mexico to win unless England wins Euro 2012, which they probably won't D:roshipower wrote:^they were invited as a guest, and these competitions arent called confederations cups, they are called continental cup, confederations cup is another competition where the winners of all the continental cups, the previous world cup winner, and the next world cup host compete,it takes place 1 year prior to the world cup, the next one is in 2013 in brazil,1 year before brazil 2014
