OFFICIAL RELEASE: March 27th (NA), March 25th (EU)
OFFICIAL PRICE: $249.99 (NA), £229 (EU)
Between release and E3 2011, 30+ games should be released. No launch games were announced yet.
Friend codes are improved: the 3DS has FCs, and once you add one person, you will not have to add another code for them again (ex: if you add your friend on the 3DS's FCs, you won't have to add their FC for another game like Mario Kart 3DS or Street Fighter IV 3D).
The store will allow you to play demos of retail games, and DSiWare games are transferable to 3DS. GB and GBC games will be available over Virtual Console. NES, SNES, and GBA games are predicted, unconfirmed.
AR Games involve the use of AR Cards, which allows you to play a game right there using the camera. The environment is based on the actual area around the card.
Mii Maker allows you to make Miis. The camera of the 3DS can be used to make a more accurate Mii of yourself.
The Analog Pad will allow more precise controls over Control Pad.
The home button allows you to go to the home menu from your game, however the game will save there and remember where you were when you went to the home menu, allowing you to use another application without losing data.
A built in pedometer will earn you "coins" that unlock stuff within the 3DS games.
Spot Pass allows you to swap Miis with another person using Spot Pass and exchange other things.
