Upcoming Nintendo DS Games Introduce More than 150 Never-Before-Seen Pokémon and a New Region to Explore

REDMOND, Wash., Dec. 27, 2010 - Nintendo of America today announced that the Pokémon™ Black Version and Pokémon White Version video games will launch in North America on March 6, 2011. The games, playable exclusively on the Nintendo DS™ family of systems, are a completely new adventure that Pokémon fans old and new can embark on. Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version introduce more than 150 new Pokémon and a new region to explore.


Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version feature new Pokémon that players can catch, train and battle as they progress through the game, and some Pokémon can only be caught in one version of the game. For example, the Legendary Pokémon Reshiram™ can only be caught in Pokémon Black Version, while the Legendary Pokémon Zekrom™ can only be caught in Pokémon White Version. Additionally, the two games feature different areas for the first time in the series, with the game world of Pokémon Black Version featuring a unique metropolitan area called Black City, and a lush, green area named White Forest only found in Pokémon White Version. Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version also mark the first time in a Pokémon video game that the seasons will change in the game world. Certain Pokémon appear more frequently during different seasons, and players can only access some areas during a specific season.

Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version let players start with one of three new Starter Pokémon - the Grass-type Snivy™, the Fire-type Tepig™ or the Water-type Oshawott™. Until the main story of the game is complete, every Pokémon that players encounter will have never been seen before in previous Pokémon games. The games also feature original boy and girl trainers who set out on an adventure in the new Unova region.

Chances are it will be close to the American release date. Usually is.

lol, my mom has a rule i can only get 3 games a year besides B-Day and Christmas, so I think Ill wait until December (B-Day & Christmas both in Dec.)

Well, a full list of English names has been revealed. This may be a rumor, but the fact that 3 of the English names on the list were confirmed to be true by Official Nintendo Magazine UK (the list was found a few days before the magazine was released), the authenticity is highly likely.

Also, look at the evolution of Tepig's name. Quite interesting.

It is "POTENTIAL", thus likely, but not confirmed.

EDIT: The list of English names which was rumored is confirmed.
IGN revealed the names of 6 Pokemon. All 6 matched names with the names on the list.
With this and the fact names before matched names on the list, it is safe to say this list is 100% legit.

Oh, and some English names for some moves, abilities, and people were added to the first post.

Mostly Serebii and Bulbapedia/news, but I found the English names just released on IGN first.

Cool. If we do the Staff group idea, you can give some guidance to the 'Newspeople'.

English names for the first gym leaders, along with the city and badge, are added.
Another English Pokemon name confirmation also: Yooterri is Lillipup, which also matches the list of English names.

ALSO:
The Dream World will not launch at release of B/W: it will launch sometime in Spring. This is to prevent servers from overloading.

Also, confirmation of two more English names (Tympole and Timburr). Both matched list, as expected.

More English stuff was revealed during the B/W tour, and the 13th Movie that aired yesterday revealed a name of a city as well.

Also, some moves were given English names, also result from the tour.

Finally, another Pokemon English name matched the list. Shocking, isn't it?

One more thing: this will be the last post for now. I will still edit the font page of this topic, but I'm not gonna bother posting whenever one new town is revealed. Once it is complete, then I'll say something again.
