Junichi Masuda will be appearing on Pokemon Smash, a television show in Japan on the 18th of September to make a big announcement. It’s possible the announcement may be completely unrelated to the 3DS, but the CEO of the Pokemon Company has previously hinted they’re working on a something for both the DS and the 3DS that would surprise players, so there’s still that chance it’ll be relevant.

According to Serebii, a preview for next week was shown, and that it said that a Mewtwo was being released as an event Pokemon in Japan. This could mean that is the only thing being revealed.

God knows im only getting the rom for this new game, not going to buy it. Unless i see some ika, pichu, G&W, sparky, mwh's foot, or anything related to that.

i honestly didn't really like any of the colosseum/battle arena type pokemon games, but maybe thats just me being hatable like i always am

Statdium, Stadium 2, and Battle revolution were fail, but Colosseum and XD were win because story and shadow pokemon. the shadow pokemon were a nice new system for catching, even if it was only temporary, not to mention for a while they were the only way to get ho-oh/lugia on your ruby/sapphire/emerald/firered/leafgreen/diamond/pearl

and eh, colosseum was ok in my opinion, but yes, Battle Revolution was full of epic fail. still, IMO the only really good pokemon games are the classic handheld RPG games.

stadium had mini-games, MOST FUN I EVER HAD WITH POKEMON(sushi eating mini-game FTW)

Actually Pik, I am pretty sure you are just too young to not appreciate Pokemon Stadium for what it was. It cannot be put in the same bracket as PBR, as many would agree that it was twice as better.

Colosseum and XD GoD (lol) ARE side games as well. They have no relation to the main series. Those games were fun to play, but they made them all wrong. The graphics should have been better (GameCube is powerful enough), the story should have been a little better and the level design was just mediocre. The idea was really awesome though and I'm sure that, with a proper team, they can make a kickass RPG game for the Wii U.

Still, they don't match the main series.
