YEAH!!! More poorly formatted anime knowhow from me, hellfire! Anyway, I'm going with top 5 for summer, and what I'm anticipating being good (based on what little of each series has aired) for the fall. ENJOY!
Summer top 5:
5. Rinne no Lagrange Season 2: I believe this was on my winter list as well, but season 2 picks up where season 1 left off. And then got weird... and then had a massive mecha fight. Pretty good
4. Campione!: It's a harem series about a guy who killed A GOD! It's average as a series... but the premise of killing a god gets it on the list
3. YuruYuri Season 2: Believe I included season 1 on a list last year as well, more random hijinks and shoujo ai from a group of middle schoolers. Season 2 gets a plus for the slightly creepy, yet hilarious segments featuring Akari's older sister (who has a MASSIVE sister complex).
2. Sword Art Online: Ongoing, Summer season featured the SAO arc. Fall season is ALO (for anyone who knows what that means...). It's good, but the novels are better, and as such, despite the fandom it is NOT number 1.
1. Kokoro Connect: Somewhat ongoing (last arc out in... March 2013...). About a group of highschool students who get trolled.... literally. Someone (or something) causes strange phenomenon (like switching bodies) to happen to these poor highschoolers "because it seems interesting".
Anticipated Fall 2012:
10. Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo: This series is a straight comedy based on a light novel about a guy living in a dorm with a bunch of loonies (his description of them, though it's pretty accurate). First episode was hilarious.
9. To-Love Ru Darkness: 4th season of a fairly popular harem series. Only reason its on this list is this series is home to one of the greatest trolls in anime, Momo Belia Deviluke. Said troll has also grown from random side character to MAIN CHARACTER! Trolling hijinks ensue.
8. Hidamari Sketch 4: It's more random antics from the girls at Hidamari Appartments. It's cute, but does have a rather... weird art style. Good luck finding season 1 or 2 if you want to watch them all.
7. Robotic;Notes: Has not aired yet, so it's lower on the list. Voice cast is promising, story sounds promising, so it should be good, but holding off judging till I see episode 1.
6. Zetsuen no Tempest: About magic, some sort of tree of beginning, friendship, and murder. I think. It's confusing, but it looks good.
5. Seitokai no Ichizon Season 2: Season 1, hilarious. Season 2, probably the same. Awesome.
4. Sukitte Iinayo: Pretty sure this is a shoujo anime, but it looked.... well shoujo. Art style was nice, story was... weird... and shoujo.
3. Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun: MORE SHOUJO!! This one is straight up ice queen meets class clown romance shoujo. There's a lot of shoujo anime this fall...
2. Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shittai! (only one I've seen an English title for "Regardless of My Adolescent Delusions of Grandeur, I Want a Date!): Insert obligatory long titled anime here. About a guy who suffered through "8th grade syndrome" (refers to time of change in most peoples life where they imagine they can do things that they obviously can't, like shoot lazers out of their eyes or something, or some other delusional grandeur. Usually last outburst of being a kid before growing up and going to highschool). In an attempt to escape this, he goes to a new school where no one will know him, only to run into a girl who obviously is still going through her 8th grade syndrome. Hilarity ensues!
1. Little Busters: It's based on the game by KEY, which automatically makes it awesome (for those not in the know, KEY are the company behind such anime as Kanon, Air, and probably more famously, Angel Beats and Clannad). Despite not being Kyoani, it should still be awesome!
