I realized this thread doesn't exist. There are variants, but no Top 10 All-Time Favorite games. So here is the official thread for this subject.
The question: list your top 10 favorite video games. No limits, just remember these are favorites, don't make top 10 worst please, that's for another thread. It doesn't have to be 10: can be less (if lazy) or more (if you have many).
Here are mine, and a brief description (backwards order, since I'm lazy and this is easier for me):
1) Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door: Probably my first experience with an RPG outside of Pokemon, this game left lasting impressions, with so much to do and great gameplay, it has firmly established itself as my favorite game of all time.
2) Pikmin 2: Another game of fond memories, this game is glorious in anyway I can think of. I literally see no flaws (maybe the Purple Pikmin being a bit overpowered) and I absolutely love this game.
3) Paper Mario (N64): The original Paper Mario game is still outstanding and amazing. It's great in all regards, and the small flaws it has were fixed in the sequel. But even with them, the undeniable charm in this game makes it stupendous.
4) inFAMOUS 2: FLAWLESS VICTORY. The game takes the first game, which was great, and makes it OBSOLETE. Incredible story, gameplay, UGC, and endings make this an incredible game.
5) Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles: Screw Sonic CD, it sucks, this game is the ultimate Sonic game. With Knuckles being playable as well as Sonic and Tail, the many stages, and blast processing make this an ultimate platformer.
6) Super Mario World: Just short of being my favorite 2D platformer, but this doesn't mean anything: Super Mario World is incredible. The best 2D Mario platformer to ever be released, with plenty of levels to complete and explore. And Yoshi.
7) Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald: 3rd gen da bess. Not 1st. Not 2nd. Not 5th. Definitely no 4th. This game is boss, and the most fun. It feels like there is more replay here and than previous and future titles, and the gameplay was just as great as ever. All hail Hoenn!
8) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Back in June of 2010, back when the 3DS just got announced and OoT3D got announced also, I hadn't played a Zelda game ever. So I decided "Instead of paying $40 later, I'll pay $10 now and save money!" I didn't expect to love it so much I'd have the original AND get the remake. 'nuff said about my opinion on this game.
9) Kirby & The Amazing Mirror: This game. So much to do. So much to explore. One of the greatest GBA games in... ever! I really hope the Virtual Console on 3DS gets GBA games, and I really hope this is one of them, since I lost my copy ;-;
10) Super Smash Bros Brawl: Something about this game is so charming, so addictive, so... epic. Nintendo did well with Brawl, and I can't wait to see what's next. This game is great, amazing, outstanding, except laggy online and tripping.
