Exp. Share and Lucky Egg, if you can find them, they can help out severly, seeing as your purpose here is to level them up...

Platinum crap:
4 new pokemon, 3 for competitive:
-Shiny Riolu
-Shiny Jolly Gible
-Shiny Modest Treeko
-Modest/Serene Grace Togepi
And i'm also working on some competitive strategies and have been EV training.
Pokemon Fully EV trained:
-Blastoise
-Charmander (still must evolve)
I'm also planning an OU and uber sandstorm team.

Don't forget that IVs will be important to the Special attackers such as Togepi, Treecko and maybe Charmander. Hidden power is a strong yet hard aspect in the game.

Maybe, but I don't know if I need to use Hidden Power on any of them. Charmander is physical, Togepi is Nasty Plot, and I think strtegies fo it use different moves. I'm pretty sure most Togekiss that use HP are specs, and as for Treeko, I don't know.

my team had 5 teammates weak to ground, and i'd trained them all, so after that I gave up.

Right now, even if I'm bored with it somewhat, I still take interest in competitive battling. Right now, my Rain Dance Team is 6x weak to Electric, but I have a Nidoking to switch into.
